Ashley Riker, Vice President, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer
Ashley has worked in the non-profit and public service fields for the past 15 years. She is currently HVCU's Vice President of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and focuses on creating financial wellness through inclusivity & engagement initiatives for employees, members, and communities. Ashley serves on the board of the New Paltz Pride Coalition and is an active member of the Orange County Chamber of Commerce, DEAI Committee. Prior to joining HVCU, she served as Director of Diversity & Inclusion at RWJBH Community Medical Center, with a focus on health equity, social impact, and belonging. Before entering into the healthcare space, Ashley lead Garden State Equality’s Safe Schools Program and spearheaded the development of a data driven LGBTQ Inclusive Curriculum Pilot Program for New Jersey’s Public Schools. Her family is part of Pantene’s Family is #BeautifuLGBTQ campaign and has been featured on Insider NJ’s OUT 100: LGBT Power List in 2019, 2020, & 2021. Ashley enjoys spending her free time going on adventures with her wife Ellie and their four amazing kids.

Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) champion an environment of respect and inclusion for groups that share a common affinity. Through education, training, and connective events, the ERGs foster a culture of inclusion at all levels of the organization, as well as celebrate and create visibility for unique groups of employees, members and the communities we serve.

To enrich the lives of Veterans through Service, Opportunity, and Purpose by partnering with community originations and initiatives, we will serve as a conduit to help fulfill their mission in providing our Veterans with the tools and resources necessary to thrive.
