Petition Candidates
In addition to the candidates nominated above, any member aged 18 or older may petition for a position on our Board of Directors. Petition forms are available as of April 2, 2025, and can be requested by calling 845.463.3011, option 1, ext. 3710. Your completed petition, signed by a minimum of 500 current members, must be received no later than 5 p.m. ET on Friday, May 2, 2025, at P.O. Box 1071, Poughkeepsie, NY 12602. The solicitation of signatures on credit union property is not permitted and will invalidate a petition. Completed petitions will not be accepted at any HVCU office. Should a petition candidate timely and fully satisfy all of the requirements, the petition candidate will be eligible to run against the candidates selected by the Nominations Sub-Committee. Election ballots will be sent to eligible members in late May 2025. The three candidates receiving the highest vote totals will be elected with terms determined by plurality of votes received (e.g., the highest three totals will each serve a three-year term).
If there are no petition candidates, there will be no ballot as the number of nominees equal the number of positions to be filled and no nominations from the floor are permissible. Results will be announced at the Annual Meeting on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
