2024 Annual Meeting

Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 5:30 p.m.

Our Annual Meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2024 in the Auditorium of Our Lady of Lourdes High School (131 Boardman Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603). Please register by 5 p.m. ET on Monday, June 17, 2024 to join us.

2024 Board of Directors Election

Hudson Valley Credit Union’s Nominations Sub-Committee has nominated the following candidates for three open positions on our Board of Directors. Each candidate is nominated to serve a three-year term. Candidates are listed below in no particular order. There were no candidates by petition. Election results will be formally announced at the Annual Meeting on June 20, 2024.
 

Candidate #1 – Henrietta Akpata (Nominated to serve a 3-year term)

Present & Past Work Experience: Currently Senior Director, Product Growth and Offering Management, Medidata Solutions, Dassault Systemes. Previously served in senior marketing officer/director positions over the past 15 years, including positions at IBM, Sprinklr, and New England Fancy Food Co., Inc.

Education: Master of Business Administration, University of California Los Angeles. Master of Science, Computer Science, University of Southern California. Bachelor of Science, Computer Science, California State University. 

Credit Union Involvement: HVCU Board Director since July 2023 (Associate Board Director May to July 2023) and currently serves on the Compensation & Benefits Committee. HVCU Member since 2023. 

Civic Involvement: Previously Board of Director IBM Site Volunteer Group; Organizing Member All Saints Episcopalian Church, Long Beach; and Board Director Fremont Elementary Parent Volunteer School Board Advisory Committee (Long Beach Unified School District).
 

Candidate #2 – Benjamin Smith (Nominated to serve a 3-year term)

Present & Past Work Experience: Currently Senior Vice President, Chief Information Security Officer with Altice USA. Previously served as Vice President, Chief Information Security Officer with Nuvance Health System; Chief Information Security Officer for MultiCare Health System; Information Security Officer for Rochester Regional Heath; Manager, IT Operations Information Security and Privacy Officer for Greater Rochester Independent Practice Association.   Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) since 2007; Certified Professional in Health Information Technology (CPHIT) since 2008 and Certified Information Security Manager (CISC) since 2012.

Education:  MBA, Rochester Institute of Technology. Bachelor of Science, Management Information Systems with a minor in Political Science, Rochester Institute of Technology.

Credit Union Involvement: HVCU Board Director since June 2022. Current Chair, Governance and Nominations Committee and former Compensation & Benefits Committee member. HVCU Member since 2022.

Civic Involvement: Currently Member Governing Board Member of Evanta – New York City CISO Summit; member Healthcare Board of Advisors, CI Security for Critical Informatics; member Board of Directors for the Saunders College of Business at Rochester Institute of Technology Alumni Association; member, Policy and Medical Device Security Committees for CHIME- AEHIS; and member of the FBI Citizen’s Academy Alumni Association.
 

Candidate #3 – Nancy Boehm (Nominated to serve a 3-year term)

Present & Past Work Experience: Currently the Global Chief Information Officer at Perella Weinberg Partners. Previously served in various Chief Information and Operating Officer positions at international banks and security corporations over 20 years.

Education: MBA International Finance & Economics, Fordham University. Bachelor of Accounting, The George Washington University.

Credit Union Involvement: Former HVCU Director (June 2019 - December 2022), serving on Compensation & Benefits, Governance & Nominations, ALCO and Finance Committees. Former Vice Chair, Board of Directors, Hudson Valley Credit Union. HVCU member since 2009.

Civic Involvement: Currently President of the Board of Trustees at The Grolier Club of New York and member of the Board of Trustees at the American Trust for the British Library. 

In addition to the candidates nominated above, any member age 18 or older may petition for a position on our Board of Directors. Petition forms are available as of April 3, 2024 by calling 845.463.3011, option 1, ext. 3710. Your completed petition signed by a minimum of 500 current members must be received no later than 5 p.m. ET on
